About the Role
Koora academy is on the look out for passionate and enthusiastic football coaches in the southwest London and surrey region. As a new sports provider we are looking for fun, and confident football coaches who live and breath our values of having a fun, supportive and inclusive environment.
Our lead coaches are responsible for designing an appropriate syllabus and coaching program to reflect the abilities as well as the age groups of the children enrolled into our programmes and to ensure all support coaches are able to apply our philosophy and coaching syllabus in their session design and delivery.
Lead coaches are expected to engage with and build rapport with players, parents and support staff to create an environment where everyone looks forward to each session. If you are great with people and think you're up to the challenge we would love to hear from you.
You will be first on the field to carry out a safety inspection of the playing area, Meet and greet parents and kids and set up arrival activities. You will also ensure kids are safely escorted to their parents at the end of the session with all their belongings and ensure all equipment is safely cleared away.
Coordinate with facility managers, parents, and caregivers to ensure the safe and enjoyable delivery of all activities.
Plan and deliver fun, enjoyable, and educational sessions that promote sustained participation with Koora Academy and to ensure that session plans are readily available upon request.
Maintain a well-presented appearance by wearing Koora Academy uniform at all times.
Be punctual and ready to start sessions at least 15 minutes before they commence.
Prepare session plans and accurately complete participation forms, recording sheets, risk assessments, and registers. Provide these documents to the appropriate Koora Academy staff member.
Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures as outlined by Koora Academy. Report any safeguarding or welfare incidents that may occur before, during, or after a session to the relevant officer.
Ensure that your interactions with children and adults at risk are appropriate. Your language, behaviour, and demeanour should be suitable and respectful. Undertake training as necessary to understand best practices related to Children and/or Adults at Risk.
Take responsibility for the welfare of the children in your care and do not leave them in the care of others. Ensure that all children are signed in and out of activities by a parent, caregiver, or teacher/associated staff member.
Efficiently communicate your availability to lead coach/coordinators and assist in all requested activities, as directed by the Area Leads.
Be ready to take on additional roles and responsibilities as required by Koora Academy. Be flexible in carrying out ad hoc duties as requested by Koora Academy
Requirements
Must Have
FA Level 1 or above qualification
Emmergency Aid Certification
Safefuarding children Certification
18 years of age or above
Nice to have
Level 2 or Uefa B certification
FA Youth Modules
Confident Communicator
Experienced across grass roots and academy football
