  • What shall I bring with me to the class?
    Children attending soccer camp classes should bring the following essentials: Appropriate Attire: Comfortable sportswear, including a t-shirt, shorts, soccer socks, and sneakers or cleats. · Shin Guards: To protect against potential injuries. · Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is crucial, so a refillable water bottle is a must. · Sunscreen: To protect against sunburn on sunny days. · Rain Gear: If the camp operates in rainy conditions, a waterproof jacket and pants are advisable. · Personal Medications: If applicable, such as an EpiPen or inhaler, make sure it's easily accessible and that the camp staff is aware. · Positive Attitude: Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and have fun.
  • What time should I arrive for my chosen class?
    To ensure a smooth start to our sessions, we kindly advise arriving 15 minutes early for registration. This extra time allows us to get everyone checked in promptly, ensuring more playtime and fun on the field. Thank you for your cooperation and punctuality!
  • Do my children require any special clothing or equipment for their class?
    No, just bring appropriate training gear and shoes, the rest to down to us.
  • How many children are in each class?
    Typically, we adhere to a coach-to-child ratio of approximately 1 coach for every 10-12 children. Our classes are thoughtfully organized into two groups: one for youngsters aged 7 to 9 years and another for those aged 10 to 12 years. In order to ensure a safe and effective learning environment, each class is designed with a maximum capacity of up to 30 children. This approach allows us to maintain an optimal balance between personalized attention and the collective experience, promoting skill development and fostering camaraderie among participants.
  • When should I pick my child up from the class?
    We kindly request that parents arrive 10 minutes prior to the conclusion of each football session. If you anticipate being delayed when picking up your child, please feel free to contact our admin team who will promptly inform the coach. If you would like to request a late pick up for your child we are happy to add this service to your payment plan so we can compensate our coaches for their extra time and dedication.
  • What happens if it rains?
    At Koora Academy we believe in active and fun learning, rain or shine! Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. We train in all conditions except for heavy snow. It's essential that your child comes prepared with suitable clothing, such as rain gear on wet days, to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience while staying active and engaged.
  • What if my child is sick?
    Parents or guardians should notify the academy in advance if a child will be absent from a session. Refunds or makeup sessions will not be provided for individual session cancellations by participants unless there are exceptional circumstances (e.g., illness or injury). For extended absences due to medical reasons, a pro-rata refund or credit may be considered upon request, with appropriate documentation. Documentation we may ask to see include: · A stamped appointment card from the GP Clinic, surgery, dentist or hospital · A doctor's note · A copy of any medicine prescribed by the doctor · A copy of the prescription
  • What if I am late for my chosen class?
    If you find yourself running behind schedule for our classes, there's no need to fret! You can simply join the class as soon as you arrive.
  • What happens if I can’t attend the trial class I have booked?
    If you can inform us via telephone or email, we will be happy to arrange another trial session for your child.
  • What happens if i miss my regular class?
    If you miss one of your regular sessions don’t panic, you have the opportunity to use one of your make up classes during the term in question to ensure you get the full value of what you paid for. If you get in touch with us via email we can help you find a makeup class and book you in. All make up classes are subject to the following terms: · Maximum of 3 make-up classes per term. · The make-up class must be for the child named on the original booking confirmation receipt. · Must be requested at least 3 days in advance of the class you wish to attend. · For missed classes only, not for a future dated class. · To be used within the term of the original booking only. · Cannot be carried over to future terms or used during our holiday camp classes. · Subject to availability.
  • Can i get a refund?
    Unfortunately we do not offer refunds on our booked classes but we are happy to look for alternative solutions to any problems.
  • What happens if I miss a camp class?
    Unfortunately missed camp classes cannot be refunded or rescheduled with the exception of sickness, in which case we will require written confirmation including one of the following: A stamped appointment card from the GP Clinic, surgery, dentist or hospital A doctor's note A copy of any medicine prescribed by the doctor A copy of the prescription
  • Which age group should I book my child into?
    We make booking classes easy so you only have to worry about booking your child into the correct bracket, while our coaches will determine which age group to place your child into. Our classes are designed for children from 7 to 12 years old, which are then further divided into (7-9s) and (10-12s). If your child turns 7 before the school term begins then the’re coach will put them in the U8’s age group. However if they turn 7 after the school term begins then they will play in the Under 7s age group
  • May I bring siblings to watch?
    Siblings and parents may watch sessions without disrupting sessions. As per our health and safety and safeguarding policy, our playing area must be kept clear for players and coaches only.
  • If I join a term part-way through, will I pay the full amount?
    We are happy to give you a pro rata option to pay for the remainder of the term. However any special offers or discounts only apply when the term is booked in advance.
  • Can my child play on the day if I turn up without booking beforehand?
    Regrettably, we cannot accommodate same-day bookings since our classes and equipment are meticulously prepared in advance to match the pre-booked number of children. Additionally, we maintain comprehensive health and safety records for all participating children. All parents are encouraged to plan ahead and make bookings at least 24 hours in advance to ensure a smooth experience for all involved.   • Can I enroll onto a course after the course has started?
    Certainly, provided there is availability, you can join our classes at any point during the term. Please keep in mind that classes may reach full capacity before the term starts. If you spot a class you're interested in online, you're welcome to schedule a trial session. Don't hesitate to reach out to our office, and one of our team members will gladly assist you
  • Do I have to book in advance?
    No, but it’s advisable to book early to avoid disappointment as our classes have limited spaces available. You can book classes up to 10pm the night before a session takes place.
  • Are your classes for boys and girls?
    Our tots classes will be inclusive of mixed abilities and genders. Similarly, our beginner and foundation sessions, catering to children up to 9 years old, will also be mixed gender and include various skill levels. Starting at the age of 9, we will introduce separate boys and girls classes.
  • My child needs additional support, can this be provided?
    In addition to the session coaches, we'll have a dedicated support coach present at each training session. Their role will involve working with players in smaller groups, typically 2-4 individuals, to offer guidance on technique, offer moral support, and provide encouragement. If you’d like more personalised 1 to 1 sessions then just get in touch via email or telephone and we will be happy to discuss the options available.
  • Will the coach be the same each term?
    We employ our coaches on a sessional basis, so while we endeavour to always have familiar faces delivering our sessions, sometimes this is out of our control and subject to the availability of our coaches as well as our mission to ensure high standards of coaching and conduct are kept at all times. Our lead coaches will remain relatively consistent throughout the school term and will provide parents and coaches with a familiar face on site.
  • If a class is fully booked, is there a waiting list?
    Certainly! We provide the opportunity to add your child to a waiting list. If you're unable to secure a spot in your preferred class, please contact us, and we'll check if there are any alternative classes that might suit your schedule. Since we occasionally receive last-minute cancellations, we recommend reaching out to us to inquire about any newly available openings.
  • I have lost something at the class, what should I do?
    Contact customer services as soon as possible and we will investigate and try to locate your lost item. Our coaches are instructed to report all lost property to the office, after which an email will be sent out to parents of children who attended the said session. We encourage all children and parents to ensure their children have all items possessions with them before leaving the training facility. Items not claimed will be kept in our storage facility for 3 months and then disposed.
  • How can I track my child's progress?
    Our coaching staff will be keeping progress reports which will be provided to parents at the end of each term.
  • What's the duration of each session?
    Each Koora session will have a duration of 60 minutes. Typically, 50 minutes will be dedicated to coaching and playtime, with the remaining 10 minutes allocated for tidying up and dismissal.
  • How often are the coaching sessions?
    Our beginner and foundation sessions run once a week. Our Academy sessions are also scheduled once a week, but we will make an effort to provide parents with the opportunity to enroll their children in an additional class during the week if they wish to do so.
  • How do I organise a trial class and how much will it cost?
    On our contact us page you can email or call our customer service who will be happy to help you with making your booking. You can also do so on our website, if you click on the schedule a free trial button on the home page
  • Do you run sessions on Bank Holiday weekends?
    Absolutely! Sessions continue as normal.

  • Do you run sessions through the half term?
    Weekly term time classes continue for parents who opt for our monthly and yearly plans. For parents who pay per term you have the option of booking onto our day time football camps, with half day and full day options available.
  • Will I automatically be enrolled for the next term?
    Automatic re-enrollments are not currently implemented. To ensure your child's participation in a particular term, you need to make a reservation for the course in advance. Once you've completed the online registration process, you have the option to subscribe to our mailing list to stay informed about future terms, events, and promotions.
  • Is your payment process secure?
    To ensure the security of online transactions, our website employs cutting-edge secure server software.
  • How will I know when I can book for the new term?
    By subscribing to our mailing list, you can rest assured that we will send out all announcements with sufficient notice, allowing you to secure your child's spot well in advance and prevent any potential disappointment.
  • Do you have a curriculum or teaching philosophy?
    Our coaching syllabus is a collaboration between all coaching staff of various experience levels in the game and is constantly under review and development as we continue to ensure our sessions get better in terms of content and delivery.

  • Do you offer competitions or tournaments?
    Koora coaching staff will regularly organise in-house fun tournaments and games which will encourage all the boys and girls within the academy to get on, cooperate and enjoy playing and competing together.
  • Are there opportunities for advanced training?
